February 20, 2022

I remember thinking I was never gonna get any roles and comments about my voice were worse back then.. I’m glad I didn’t give up, this is cool to look back on!! 🙂 I honestly like youtubing way more now too, and making music is incredibly fulfilling~

don’t worry you have the support of everyone and you’ll achieve your dream someday. keep going lily !!
way to go lily
Hi Lily! First and foremost, I’m glad I found this website and your blog, separate from all the chaos and crap on Twitter and Instagram. I don’t know if you’ll see this, but I just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone; I to, struggle with the inner demons inside my head from my low self-esteem and confidence to the feeling of taking 2 steps forward and 3 steps backward. I’m glad your tenacity keeps you going and that you don’t give up your dream of being a professional VA. As long as u don’t give up, that’s all that matters as long as you still have that spark in you, you will make it one day. As the great Confucius said, it does not matter how slow you go, as long you do not stop. I hope this helps and of course, I’ll be sending all the support and love I can to you. You are beautiful and I know you’ll accomplish your dream one day! 🙂 <3
Man Lily, I read this at just the right time. I’ve been working on my voiceover journey and I’ve just hit the same wall you did back then. They really do throw around the “networking” buzzword around and expect you to do something with that. Where do I start?! Why would someone want to “network” with a nobody in the voiceover world?! That kind of thing goes through my head. I must admit when I first read through this I had a bitter thought. “Well Lily is a big name in the streaming and YouTube scene, she can’t really complain. Networking must’ve been a heck of a lot easier for her.” But that kinda thing doesn’t just happen by itself. You worked hard to get in that position and worked hard to get to where you are now. I need to work harder too.
Glad to see how far you and everyone else have come in the last few years! Certainly well deserved!
I’m happy to hear that!
Are there any thingies that new people trying to go into voice-acting should avoid, or is it generally safe?
Although I miss seeing your old blog posts, I’m glad you’re looking back at the old things you used to think and reflecting on them a lot.
You’ve really grown so much over the years, little Lily would be so proud of you!! We all are, too. 🙂
I’m a little new to all of you and your friends’ content, but it seems like a fun place. I really connected with your music and I think it’s cool that you’re going to try and get into writing more. I really love writing and reading, and it’s my favorite form of communication. It’s super cool to see people achieve their dreams and aspirations, and I hope you get to continue to do that!

Hey Lily
I just wanted you to know that I spent ten years of my life chasing money and I decided to follow my passion because I was inspired by you. Financial success is no substitute for following your dreams.
You said in another blog post that you feel envious of vtubers today since they don’t have to deal with as much online hate. Well I can tell you that watching you fight your way to where you are, in spite of the hate, is a big reason why I’m striking out into a new field now. Please, never change.
